Manicure Monday: Vintage Cherry Turquoise Canvas

For this week's Manicure Monday, I've came up with a cherry print nailart with a turquoise background which I think pairs well together. Upon completion and at first glimpse, the first thing that came to my mind was Arizona Green Tea can bottle loll. It really has a very close resemblance but instead of cherry blossom flowers on the Arizona, I have cherries. This was a total coincident that I had not anticipated.  Other than this resemblance, I think this nailart reminds me of a vintage wallpaper and canvas.

Anyhow, if you are interested in learning how I achieved this nailart, here are the simple steps:

1. Always start with a basecoat or any nail treatment of your choice.
2. Paint 1-2 coats of base color and for this, I used turquoise.
3. Use a dotting tool or any tool with a round head to create 2 pairs of dots using red paint for the cherries.
4. Use a black stripper to create the stems of the cherries by drawing a V shape connecting the 2 red cherries.
5. Always seal in everything with your choice of topcoat for a smooth and glossy finish.
