Nail Of The Day (NOTD)

Manicure Monday: Pearly Girly

Today's manicure features a pearl inspired nailart by using this medium water blue shade as base and accented with pearl-like small white dots in an upside down V shape on the tips. This is so easy to do where all you need is a dotting tool or any round tip like the end of a bobby pin or toothpick will do. Start off by placing a dot right on the top center and continue dotting down at a 45% angle on each side. Finished with a fast drying top coat to seal everything in place and glossy shiny manicure. This shape creates the illusion of more pointy and longer fingers. I love this simple but fancy nail accent which is very girly and feminine.
My manicure routine:
1. I always start off any manicure with a nail strengthener (or nail growth serum or nail hardner) as my basecoat to inject nutrient back into my nails. A basecoat serve as a barrier between your nails and the nail lacquer which helps to prevent nails from staining (esp from darker shades like black or red).
2. Follow by 2 coats of chosen nail color (1 coat is too sheer in most cases, 2 coats solidified the shade)

3. Finished with my beloved Sally Hansen Diamond Flash top coat which is both fast drying and glossy. The purposes of the top coat are to help seal everything in place, smooth out any bumps or bubbles, gives a smooth and shiny finish, and prevents nails from chipping as fast.
