Manicure Monday: Scallop Lace Nailart

Happy Monday everyone!!! For this week's Manicure Monday, I've came up with a pink/white lace print nairlart. This is another fairly simple to create nailart. First I started off with this bright medium pink shade as base color. Once that is dried, I dipped dotting tool in white polish to create the round edges of lace by dotting them down diagonally from middle of one corner to the bottom corner and finished painting the rest of the area. After that is dried, I dipped dotting tool using the smaller end in the pink polish and dot down diagonally along the edges and we are done. Simple right? Hope you like this simple tutorial and try to recreate your own. You can even try out a different color combo instead of the pink and white. I just thought pink and white is super feminine and girly which to me translate well in reference to lace.

OOTD: Moto Chic, Edgy and Cool

The weather sure has dropped quite a lot this week so I finally break out my fav black leather jacket from Banana Republic which goes perfectly with today's ensemble. I also pulled out another piece from my closet that I haven't worn in a long time which is this pair of bright red skinny jeans from Old Navy. I love the fit and length of this pair and I probably own majority of the colors in this style lol. In styling red jeans, I always tend to pair it with stripes and this was what I did today with this quarter sleeve stripe jersey top from Express. I added a black skull print scarf to add extra warmth which also give an added kool and bad ass edgy vibe. I finished with a pair of black faux suede ankle booties from Express and black shoulder bag from H&M.

Manicure Monday: 2 Animal Theme Nailarts

LADYBUG

Now that Halloween is just around the corner, I figured I'll do some cute and fun nailarts to go with the appropriate costumes. For this week's Manicure Monday, I went with an animal theme so I've came up with 2 different animal nailarts. On my own fingers, I've created a ladybug nailart. Instead of doing a ladybug on all the fingers which can look a lil too overwhelming and busy so I opted only to do that on the ring finger as the accent. On the rest of the fingers, I created simple red and black polka dots.

For the 2nd nailart, I've created cute PANDA nails for my sister in law. This time, I thought it is more fun and cute to have pandas on all fingers so that was what I opted for.

FLORAL FUN: Chambray Shirt and Skinny Pants

I loved this pair of floral print skinny pants from H&M when I picked them up last year and still adore it now. I am normally not a big fan of pants in general, but I love the cut and length of this pair and the floral print adds a fun factor.

I styled this pair of floral print pants with an always classic piece, a light wash denim chambray shirt tucked in for more clean and polish fit. This shirt works well as a neutral piece that doesn't fight with the busy-ness of the floral prints. I also kept the shoes and purse in a neutral tone. I did however chose this statement light coral pink shade bib necklace (from H&M) which connects with the pink in the floral print.

Modern Chic: Black & White With Pop of Cobalt Blue

LEATHER (OR FAUX LEATHER)

Now that summer is over, this is the perfect time to rock leather, whether it is a whole piece or as accents like trimming or patches. Recently I bought 2 pairs of faux leather skirts from H&M, one is a fit and flare style circle skirt and another is a fitted style pencil skirt. Leather is another great classic to have in your wardrobe because they are always in trend, timeless, and very versatile. They can be styled with your casual pieces or amp it up with your more polish pieces.

Here is my twist on an ensemble that is modern chic featuring the faux leather pencil skirt (from H&M). I styled it with a white with black trimming satin button down blouse (from H&M) tucked inside for a more clean and fitted silhouette. I topped it with a sharp cobalt blue shade with black satin lapel boyfriend style blazer which gives it the black & white outfit a pop of color. When styling pencil skirts, I always opt for a pair of classic almond toe pumps, in this case, a black leather pair from Banana Republic (one favorite) which gives a more lengthening and slimming effect. I finished the whole ensemble with a black & white tote which is the perfect match to this outfit in terms of color and style.

I love a black/white ensemble which feels clean, chic, and polish
